Accelerator "Catalyst Program"

We’re excited to announce that BeGreat Together’s executive director, Avrell Stokes, has been selected for Stand Together Foundation's accelerator "Catalyst Program", which kicked off in September 2022 in Washington, D.C. and will continue in different states throughout the nation into 2023. The Catalyst Program is a selective management & leadership development experience that unlocks the potential of America’s highest-performing nonprofits. Through peer-learning training experiences, Avrell is gathering fresh tools and insights to maximize BeGreat Together’s growth and impact.

Many community-based organizations are working to make a difference in their communities, but many nonprofit organizations lack the resources, knowledge, and support to expand. Stand Together Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in America by driving change from within communities. The goal is to build a community of social entrepreneurs who believe in people-centered approaches and unite across sectors for societal transformation.

“I’ve already benefited from the program by meeting with other leaders across the nation and learning about the unique principle-based management approaches taught by Stand Together Foundation,” said Avrell Stokes. “I’m looking forward to developing not only as a leader, but as a teammate and advocate throughout our communities.”

BeGreat Together is one of 14 nonprofits chosen to join the growing community of over 220 organizations across all 50 states, transforming the lives of more than one million Americans through bottom-up empowerment.
